Harry Harne III built his first stringed instrument at the age of nine.  Many years later, Harry found himself revisiting the idea after seeing a cigar box guitar played at a local rock and roll show.  It amazed him that something so simple in construction could sound so raw and emotional.

So he built one... and then another, and another, and another... honing his skills further with each build.  Harry quickly branched out to build mandolins, banjos, six string guitars, and ukuleles.

In 2011 he started CrocBite Guitars, and has been building steadily ever since.

His other interests include making and admiring music, reading, growing rare plants and orchids, brewing beer and wine, and listening to Guided By Voices loudly.

Some examples of Harry’s early builds.
